Discussion Starter:
We aren’t very good at waiting. In our culture, doing something “now” is seen as good and having to wait for something to happen is bad.
Whether it’s waiting for someone to call our name at the doctors office or waiting to unwrap presents on Christmas morning, most people don’t like waiting.
Advent and Christmas are about more than the anticipation of receiving. This season is about the anticipation of all that God is giving us. Advent celebrates God waiting, like the child in the video, to give His Son to the world.

- Would you rather celebrate your birthday or Christmas?
- Have you ever had to wait a long time for something?
- Why do you think God made His people wait for the Savior to come to Earth?
