LAST WEEK

Our small groups have wrapped up their three-week series called “I-dentity.” This week we talked about being the body of Christ-how each of us has been given a unique set of gifts and abilities to do something that honors God and serves others.  We then celebrated some of these giftings and talents with a Talent Show!

Using 1 Corinthians 12:14-21, we focused on how each of us is unique, how we need other people, and how other people need us. Here are some questions you could use when talking with your teenager about this week’s lesson:

• What do you think are some unique things that you contribute to your small group, youth ministry, or church?

• How can serving other people help you grow as a follower of Jesus?
• Tell me about a time when you made a positive difference in someone else’s life. How did that experience affect you?

Your conversation is a great opportunity to continue affirming your teenager and pointing out the skills, talents, and spiritual gifts you see in your child’s life. I pray that this is a great week for you and your family!
