English as an Additional Language (EAL) is a place to connect with people and help them improve English skills through classes at Church of the Rock. Our mission at Church of the Rock is to KNOW GOD, LIVE FREE, and FIND PURPOSE.

EAL Adults Conversation Using the Bible (Beginner/Intermediate) – Sunday mornings
- Learn English by using the Bible.
- It is for Christians or for people who want to learn about Christianity.
- 9:30-10:30 AM – Sunday mornings during the first service at 1397 Buffalo Place
- ongoing (except holiday Sundays: Dec. 24, Dec. 31, Mar. 31 )
- BEGINNER Level meets in classroom A5 and INTERMEDIATE Level meets in classrooms A1 and A2
- Kidz Rock is available for children to attend starting at 9:35 AM.

*NEW* EAL Adults Conversation Using the Bible (Advanced) – Sunday mornings
- An opportunity to engage in lively discussion weekly around the topic.
- Learn new vocabulary while having an opportunity to have an overview of the Bible.
- See how the writers crafted the Bible from creation to the life of Jesus.
- Starts April 7, 2024 and continues July 28, 2024
- We meet weekly from 9:30-10:30 AM on Sundays in classroom A4 (at 1397 Buffalo Place)
- Kidz Rock is available for children to attend starting at 9:35 AM.

TIME TO LEARN ENGLISH – Monday evenings
- Feb 5-March 11 and April 1-May 13. (You may register for either or both of these 6-week blocks.)
- When: Mondays from 7:00-8:15 PM
- Where: 1397 Buffalo Place – for April/May we will be in classrooms A1 & A2
- Each evening will have this format:
- 7:00-7:15 PM – Shortcuts to learning English. Each week, an ESL/EAL teacher (20+ years) will share tips on one of the following topics: vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
- 7:15-8-ish PM – Life in Canada discussion, including winter and summer safety and activities, the health care system, shopping, Canadian holidays, nutrition, etc.
- 8:15 PM – close

- Starts Sept. 27 to Dec. 13, 2023 and continues Jan. 10-April 24, 2024
- It is for Christians or for people who want to learn about Christianity.
- No childcare available.
