Overcomers In Christ
A weekly support group for individuals struggling with any hurt, habit or hang-up. Everyone is welcome including but not limited to: alcoholism, chronic anxiety, co-dependency, drug addiction, sexual addiction, uncontrolled anger, unwanted same-sex attraction, food addiction, and family with addiction.
Utilizing both the Celebrate Recovery and Life's Healing Choices material, Overcomers in Christ is a Christ-centered recovery program that uses 8 biblical principles based on Matthew 5:3-10, and 12 biblical steps to recovery. Sharing takes place in gender-specific groups, and participants are free to express as much or as little as they like.
This group realizes that lasting, peaceful recovery only comes by relying on the only true higher power, Jesus Christ. Through openness and transparency, participants will have the opportunity to deal with life in a supportive, non-judgemental environment. They will also have the opportunity to practice principles taught in this class and receive healing and restoration.
We meet every Wednesday at 7:00pm. Meetings are on a drop-in basis. There is no fee, but books are available to purchase.
