In Exodus 5:1 Moses goes up before Pharaoh and says on behalf of God “Let My people Go.” Vs 2 And Pharaoh said, “Who is The Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know The Lord, nor will I let Israel go.” So Pharaoh made the work harder.
How many times have you endeavoured to seek The Lord more diligently only to find that other problems increase and the thing that you wanted is now more difficult to obtain? This is what happened when Moses proclaimed the desire to walk closer to their God. There were more pressures, more problems, more struggles. It seems like it would have been better if they would have just left well enough alone.
Of course the more Moses and Aaron came before Pharaoh the worse it got or so it seemed. Though things looked worse, God was setting up the events for a great miraculous deliverance. What looked like obstacles were really pieces in the hands of God. Pieces used for revealing God’s power, God’s glory and God’s nature.
Lord help us to see situations from your perspective instead of from our own perspective. Open our eyes to see You working. Give us confidence to persist as Moses and Aaron did, till the full victory comes about.
