Originally from Parry Sound, Ontario, Amber lived and worked in Toronto, Edmonton, North Bay, and Kirkland Lake before landing in Winnipeg to work at CJOB in 1995. After 3 years Amber took a job hosting/producing a Christian talk-TV show with Trinity Television, was then part of the consortium that created FREQ 93.5/107, and spent over 13 years in public relations work at the University of Manitoba before serving 4 years as a missionary with Youth for Christ Winnipeg.
Amber first met Pastor Mark in the late 90’s when they both served on the March of Jesus planning committee. Since then she has had several opportunities to work with Church of the Rock, and has always had a great deal of respect for the outreach and collaborative focus of the church.
After nearly a decade volunteering as a worship leader, Amber was thrilled to come on staff as Director of Digital Communications (online church) in the summer of 2021. She feels God has led her to her “dream job”, and that He has been preparing her for it her entire life!
