God is always working according to His character and nature. Being in charge of all things, He does all things to His glory, He does all things in love. Yet, if this is His nature why are there struggles in the situations around us? The Psalmist says in Psalms 71:20-21 “You, who have shown me great and severe troubles, Shall revive me again, and bring me up again from the depths of the earth. 21 You shall increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side.”
This God who shows us severe and great troubles on every side will also revive us again from the depths, and if we respond rightly, will increase our greatness. No one likes the times of trouble or being brought down, but in exercising godly responses, true greatness can follow.
Lord Jesus, Your purposes are good, they are to bring increase to me, when I respond in accordance to Your Word. Help me to trust You when I feel like I am in the depth of situations.
