Deuteronomy 7:7 “The  Lord  did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples;”

Success is an interesting thing, we tend to think that it has to do with our strength, our abilities, and our knowledge. Here the Lord challenges the children of Israel that their success, their entrance into the land had nothing to do with themselves. God did not choose them because of their greatness, He did not choose them because they were so wonderful, rather He chose them because He loved them.  How often do we switch things around, we think it’s all about us and in reality it’s all about God’s love for us. We who are so empty, we who possess nothing of significance, need His love. We like to obtain worth because of our greatness, how proud and vain. Rather it is all about the love which He shows to us who are so unworthy, how grateful we should be for that love!

May we always see that The Lord is the one Who has done it all, may praises always be in our hearts towards Him!  May we gain our strength and worth from how He loves us rather than from our efforts.
