In a recent holiday to the Caribbean region, my wife asked, what has been the best part of your holiday?  I thought about the weather, the beaches, the sun, the sightseeing, the food, and then in honesty, not trying to win brownie points, I said, “Spending the time with you.”  There are some things that can be very lonely and are difficult doing alone, holidays and eating in restaurants are two of those things.
When God created mankind He said, “Let Us make man in Our image”  As God’s creation, mankind bears the image of God upon us.  This image should be one that stirs us into relationships, for God is a God of relationship.  It was the trinity of God, the “Us”-ness of Him, that created us for fellowship with Him.  Just as it should seem right and proper that some things would be done in fellowship with others,  so also things in our life should  be done in fellowship with God.  Psalm 16:11 says,  “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Take a moment to think about aspects of your life that are done without being or without thinking or doing them through fellowship with God.  What aspects of your life should change to allow God’s fellowship to be a part of your life in a greater way?
