We are providing a priority booking opportunity for people who stay at camp 3 nights! Following the priority booking, we will open it up for all bookings.

  • beginning Wednesday, May 24, at noon—only bookings for all 3 nights
  • beginning Friday, May 26 at noon—only 2-night or 3-night bookings
  • beginning Sunday, May 28 at noon—open to all bookings, including single nights

What to Expect

Each day at camp has lots of free time and outdoor/indoor recreation options for all ages, plus a service with worship, ministry time and preaching from our guest speaker. We expect to be both refreshed and challenged as we respond to what God is doing in our hearts.

Come ready to meet new people and reconnect with old friends!

Evening Speaker – Pastor Bruce Martin

Bruce and Miriam Martin have lived in Winnipeg for over 25 years. They have recently stepped aside from pastoral leadership at Calvary Temple, retiring after 47 years of pastoring in Winnipeg and Ontario.
Bruce and Miriam recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their four married children and nine grandchildren. Bruce continues to share his love for Jesus as a way of life, whether that be with one individual or a group of many.
You are sure to find Bruce’s practical and insightful Bible teaching to be very encouraging and helpful, whether you are a new believer or a long time Jesus Follower.

  • 3:00-7:00 PM – Arrival/Check-in
  • 6:30-7:00 PM – Prayer
  • 7:00-8:30 PM – Evening Service (including children’s program and ministry time)
  • 9:00-11:00 PM Evening Activities

THURSDAY (Aug. 10)

  • 10:00 AM – Children’s Program, Adult Coffee Time
  • 10:00 AM – Youth Activities
  • 1:00-5:00 PM – Group Activities & Free Time
  • 6:30-7:00 PM – Prayer
  • 7:00-8:30 PM – Evening Service (including children’s program and ministry time)
  • 9:00-11:00 PM Evening Activities

FRIDAY (Aug. 11)

  • 10:00 AM – Preschool Program/Family Soccer (11 & under with parents), Adult Coffee Time
  • 10:00 AM – Youth Activities
  • 11:00 AM – Adult Soccer Tournament
  • 1:00-5:00 PM – Free Time/Group Activities
  • 4:00 PM – Water Baptism (Pre-Register)
  • 6:30-7:00 PM – Prayer
  • 7:00-8:30 PM – Evening Service (including children’s program and ministry time)
  • 9:00-11:00 PM Evening Activities

SATURDAY (Aug. 12)

  • 9:00-10:00 AM – Cabin Clean-Up
  • 10:00 AM – Prayer
  • 10:30-11:30 AM – Morning Service (including children’s program)
  • 12:00-1:00 PM – Lunch
  • 1:30 PM – Check Out of Accommodations

Kidz Rock

(Children ages 3 yrs – completed Grade 5)

Age-appropriate programs are offered for children in the mornings and during the message portion of the evening services. Children will have exciting times discovering God’s Word in fun and relevant ways! Get ready for a great adventure!

You must register for Church Camp to join in Kidz Rock.

Threshold/High School (Youth)

(completed grades 6-12)

Each year youth come out to camp and have a great time growing closer to God and also participating in some crazy events! There is usually something happening for teens morning, noon and night, so make sure you grab the Threshold camp schedule.

General Activities

When you arrive at camp you will receive a schedule of group activities including:

  • Volleyball and Family Soccer Tournaments
  • Bocce, Ultimate Frisbee
  • Board Games, Scrabble Tournament
  • Mini-Golf Tournament
  • Morning Adult Coffee Time

Location

Manhattan Beach Retreat Centre (MBRC) is located on Pelican Lake in southwestern Manitoba, approximately two hours from Winnipeg.

Amenities include:

Accommodations

There are a limited number of motels/cabins for rent, which we reserve on a first-come, first-served basis (see “Book Online“). The camp also has full and partial service sites for RV’s + campers as well as a group tenting area.

Costs

  • Motel Rooms $94–$88/night
  • Cabins $40–$110/night
  • Trailer Sites $39–$47/night
  • Tent Area $28/night per tent
  • Day Pass $10/day to a maximum of $30

Details

  • non-refundable deposit of 25% is due when booking
  • payment due in full by July 23, 2023
  • Everyone staying overnight on the camp grounds must register
  • some motels and cabins allow for your own meal preparation and most have private or shared bathrooms (see details in online booking system or ask for details at Guest Services/Welcome Centre or the church office).
  • You will need to bring your own bedding, towels, soaps, etc. (and dishes, pots, etc. if in a kitchen unit)
  • no pets in Chapel Grove or Poolside motel.
  • Day Pass – there is a $10 per day registration fee to cover Church Camp amenities. Please register early so that we can plan for your family/group attendance.

Day Visitors

If you would like to come to Church Camp as a day visitor without booking our accommodations, you must pay a daily registration fee. This fee helps offset the costs of the guest speaker, camp amenities (pool & mini-golf), and activities including Kidz Rock and Youth programming.

The Day Pass cost is $10 per family (or similar group) per day to a maximum of $30. This fee also applies to families or groups that have arranged their own accommodations either on the camp grounds or offsite. For more information, please contact the Church Camp Team.

If you have booked your accommodations through Church of the Rock, no day pass is required—it is included in your accommodation.

(Optional) Dining Hall Meals

Meals are available for purchase at the onsite dining hall on a pay-as-you-go basis. (Children ages 3-9 eat for Half Price.)

  • Breakfast – 9-9:30 am – $10.00
  • Lunch – 12-12:30 pm – $13.50
  • Supper – 5-5:30 pm – $17.00
  • Evening Snack (after service) Cafeteria Style – priced by item

Arrivals

Everyone needs to check in at the Camp Office upon arrival. Our Camp Office hours are as follows:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 9, 3–7 pm
  • Thursday, Aug. 10, 3–7 pm
  • Friday, Aug. 111, 3–7 pm

Check out from accommodations is 12:00 pm on Thursday or Friday and 1:30 pm on Saturday.
