Children (up to gr. 6)

Welcome to Kidz Rock!

Kidz Rock Vision

Partnering together with parents to impact children to become devoted  followers of Jesus.
Encouraging them to reach their full potential
by: teaching God’s Word and sharing His love

Every week we plan a full hour for your child that includes large group, Bible stories, songs, crafts, games, and—best of all—small group time for prayer and discussion. All of our programs are age-appropriate, fun, safe and rich in opportunities for learning and serving.

We can’t wait to meet you!

Kidz Rock Values

  1. Safe – physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
  2. Biblical Teaching – relevant & creative.
  3. Relational – an environment that promotes caring relationships.
  4. Empowering – We encourage kids to use their God-given gifts to serve others.
  5. Fun, fun, fun, fun!

@BRONX PARK

We are pleased to offer:

We in Kidz Rock are doing our best to keep your children safe. We are doing this by:

  • Checking kids in that are registered ahead of time and parents picking up their name tags from the table to lessen time spent in a line up.
  • All volunteers are wearing masks when social distancing can’t be maintained, (i.e. helping a child with their craft or activity). Wearing gloves when necessary. Using hand sanitizer in the classroom.
  • All kids get hand sanitizer when entering the classrooms.
  • Children are all seated in hula hoops to maintain social distancing.
  • All activities/crafts, snacks, etc., are all pre-packaged, nothing is shared between the children.
  • Children are remained sitting in their spots until their parents come to pick them up and we call the children one at a time to the door as their parents come.

Our Kidz Rock check-in opens at 10:15 AM each Sunday, located just past the washrooms as you come towards the Hobnobs Cafe.  Once you have your check-in tags, one parent can drop off your child at their classroom and then make your way into the main auditorium for the service.

For more information on how we are keeping kids safe, please visit our Bronx Park reopening page.

Our Kidz Rock check-in opens at 10:15 AM each Sunday – just turn into the hallway intersection by the washrooms and then go through to the Kidz Rock area.  Once you have your check-in tags, you can then make your way into the main auditorium for worship as a family until the children are released by the pastor to head to their classrooms.

September 1, 2020

Hello Families,

We are happy to inform you that we will be opening Phase 2 of Kidz Rock. This phase will include preschool ages 2-4.

Our plan will be to open preschool on Sunday, Sept 13, 2020. Along with this new phase we will be implementing new pathways for pickup and drop off.

To lessen the amount of people in lines, please have one parent drop off and pick up children.

*Beginning September 13, 2020, to ensure that we are following proper attendance guidelines and to protect your children and the volunteers, it will be mandatory that all kids age 2 grade 6 be pre-registered for Kidz Rock each week via the Church of the Rock website prior to each service.

REGISTER FOR KIDS ROCK THIS WEEK

Once your child is registered, you will receive an emailed “ticket” to either download and print or simply keep the receipt on your phone.  You will now have to show this “ticket” to a check-in volunteer at the Kidz Rock Check-In as confirmation of your child’s registration that week.

If you do not pre-register, we will ask that you and your child go to the overflow room in the Theater until all pre-registered kids are in class. If there is still space, only at that time will you be directed to bring your child to class. If not, you can watch the service on the screen with your child in the Theatre.

Thank-you for your cooperation to help things go smoothly during this stage. These are unique days, but we are excited to see and welcome your kids!

Blessings!

Kidz Rock Team

On Sunday Morning

  • Come down to the “Check-In” centre in the Kidz Rock area (open 15 minutes prior to the service) and show our friendly volunteers your registration receipt
  • If you’re new, please hand in your Family Registration Form – we ask you to reconfirm these only once a year in the fall…we promise!
  • Your children will be checked in and given a name tag, and you will receive a matching parent pick-up tag.
  • Children will go straight to their classes during the entirety of the service, and we ask that one parent come and pick them up after the service is dismissed.
  • Please check out our Parents Guide for more details.

(As of summer 2020 – Check-In volunteers now wear masks for your safety.)

We are pleased to offer:

Please note: when Saturday evening services are running, our nursery is available on a self-serve basis.  Kidz Rock runs on Sunday mornings only.

FALL 2020 – We are not re-opening Kidz Rock at this time, but children are welcome to attend the Sunday services with their parents until we figure out further COVID-19 safety protocols.

We look forward to returning to a full Kidz Rock program soon, which offers:

Our Kidz Rock check-in opens at 10:15 AM each Sunday, located in the Atrium as you come in to the Heritage Centre.  Once you have your check-in tags, you can then make your way into the main auditorium for worship as a family until the children are released by the pastor to head to their classrooms.
